The competition programme required three buildings the 'dental clinic', 'warehouse and offices' and ' accommodation' facilities. As the site was divided into three areas by existing walking paths, buildings were allocated into those areas.

Along the walking paths, open spaces and platforms were designed to be able to accommodate a variety of activities, for welcoming local visitors.

Locally produced soil blocks and bricks were proposed as the main construction materials. It helps to save costs, as well as to improve sustainability and maintain the unique character of Rwandan architecture.
